Our compostable palm leaf plates Hampi, are made of naturally shed Areca palm leaves from India. The palm trees grow 25m high and the fallen leaves reach a length of 2 meters. The trees naturally shed 4-7 times a year and our colleagues then carefully collect and transport the leaves to the nearby factory where they are washed and prepared for production. As we maintain high quality standards, only the best quality leaves are selected for production. The leftover parts of the palm leaves are placed on the ground under the palm trees to be used as organic fertilizer. The leaves are heat pressed into different shapes and sizes, resulting in 100% natural palm leaf plates. The Hampi plates are than washed again and submitted to 10 different quality tests before being shipped out to our warehouse.
